Northwest GA Regional Hospital closed 8 years ago. Now there is new “Hope” for the 140 acre campus.
Now a Rome, GA group hopes to turn the vacant facility into a “Hope Village” for people suffering from mental illness, substance abuse and poverty.
Jeff and Mary Margaret Bauer are founders of Restoration Rome, an organization that has brought public, private and faith based groups together to help improve foster care.
One day the campus may serve as many as 700 people. Hope Village may employ 350 people or more. More information at Georgia Health News
